April 2024 Release Notes

We've been hard at work optimizing the program to bring you some quality-of-life changes as well as new tools to improve your workflow. Many of you have been using these new tools and updates on the Beta branch of Chem-Man, but we will now be migrating this to the official program.

Check out this video for a brief overview of the changes, or find detailed information below.

What has changed?

If you're not using the enhanced applicator report, we suggest that you consider checking it out. Most of our new updates will be using this report. It can be found in your Setup Menu, System Settings, Load/Applicator tab.

It allows you to modify your filters very easily and has a new updated format.

Logbook Reports:

Our logbook reports have been a big hit! The logbook by customer is a great tool to give your customer especially after the end of the year. We've now added the option to print them by landscape so the data is easier to read.

Job Scheduling:

We've changed how you enter chemicals when scheduling jobs. When entering a chemical, type in the first few letters of the chemical and it will show up in the dropdown for selection. Doing it this way instead of listing all chemicals in the drop down has improved Chem-Man loading times.

New Internal Retailer Option:

For those who have external retailers, (drop-down style) we now have the option to bring your retailers in with your main store but still separated for the retailers. This allows you to see all of your jobs in your main store as well as all of the information for each retailer. There's a one time setup for your applicators, chemicals, crops, etc.!

Please give us a call for a demonstration if you're interested.

FYI: You can still use the external retailers if you prefer.

Manage Crops:

More color options have been added for crops, allowing for a much wider range of potential map markings. Also, crops can no longer be deleted, only hidden from the list (and dropdowns). This keeps unused crops from cluttering your drop down listings, while maintaining your data history's integrity

Overriding preharvest option in chemical/charges:

We now have the option to filter the preharvest days by a crop override. In the past, you could always override the preharvest amount in the job scheduling but since it sometimes it varies by crop, we now have that option.

If you use a particular crop in the job and you have a crop override it will bring up the amount that you have chosen. (The

example below is just demo data). The crop override is totally optional.

Customer type filter added to Manage Customers:

Have you ever used the customer type or the chemical type feature?

This allows you to tag your customer and/or chemical to whatever you'd like to filter your reports.

If you'd like more information please contact our support team.

New Chemical Sales and Margins report:

We've added a new report! The chemical sales and margins report. In the past, you could use the chemical history report to create this but it took multiple clicks so we wanted to make it easier. This shows the margins, dollar values spent and sold for chemical sales either other the counter or when selling in a field application.

Option to see all locations on the job schedule page:

On the job scheduling menu, you can now click on the “... and more.” for a particular job to see all locations if there are some that aren't listed.

On your Scheduled Jobs page, your job list now shows the remaining acres in 3 colors.

Red means that the job has not been started and all acres remain.

Yellow means that the job has been partially completed.

Green means the job is complete.

Notice: Issues with ATT Text messaging:

Unfortunately when you have a third party that you work with, sometimes their system has issues that are out of your control.

Recently the ATT messaging has not been working

well on the pre and post notifications. We saw where many other companies have reached out to ATT as well.

Suggestion: Always add a customer email along with the texts to verify that the customer has received their information. We hope this issues is resolved soon!
